Rockport is known historically for fishing and quarries. Halibut Point State Park is a great stop for picnicking and strolling among great slabs of granite and abundant wildflowers and wildlife. For a true New England experience, head to a tiny storefront on Bearskin Neck and find Roy Moore Lobster Company and eat in the rough. Not to be missed is the world-class Shalin Liu Performance Center with year-round music and events against a backdrop of Front Beach.
