Love shoes? Thank Stoneham. Stoneham was a center for more than 40 shoe manufacturing operations during the Industrial Revolution and has channeled many fine athletes through to Olympic teams. We visited the Stone Zoo as children and with our children. Now we are enticed back by unique restaurants, the high calibre performers and performances at well respected Greater Boston Stage Company and Middlesex Fells Reservation and Spot Pond. The Recreation Commission believes in variety with Adult Yoga and Kids Crafts along with all the usual sports.
